 Christos Theofilis, born in 1956, is a prominent Greek visual artist known for his contributions to the art scene in Greece. In 2000, he founded the Alternative Space of Arts and Letters ART-ACT, and in 2007, he established the ART-ACT Art Institute. Theofilis has been a regular contributor to various Greek newspapers and magazines. He wrote for "Η Αυγή" in columns such as "Αυτοπροσδιορισμοί" and "Εικαστικά της Τετάρτης," and for "Ο Χρόνος" in "Εικαστικά της Τετάρτης-Σε Ενεστώτα Χρόνο." He also contributed to "Ο Κόσμος του Επενδυτή" in the Culture supplement, and was involved with "Διάλογοι" in "ΗΧΩ ΤΩΝ ΔΗΜΟΠΡΑΣΙΩΝ" under the column "ΗΧΩ & ΤΕΧΝΗ," as well as in the magazine "INFORMER." His writings on art, including critiques and essays, have been published in "Ο Δρόμος της Αριστεράς," "Αλεξίσφαιρο," and in various local and Athens-based newspapers, electronic pages, and literary magazines. During the 1990s, he was the publisher of the newspaper "Παρένθεση στην Τέχνη και τον Λόγο." In the 1980s, he co-founded with Dimitris Perdikidis the informal art group "Οικο-Τοπία."
